Kara is a professional people person, flourishing in the intersection between human, process and supporting technology. She loves to help teams build discipline around their customer centricity and challenging their focus to be always about the human. She loves facilitating leadership, role modelling those behaviours that embrace new ways of working and is dedicated to supporting teams to thrive in an environment with baked in psychological safety, driving herself and clients to do just that. She firmly believes this is where we can develop and grow those future leaders equipping them for the ambiguity and to relish in change.
If all that is the fun stuff, the human stuff, she also excels in the technology stuff, or more accurately, translating the human needs to the business, then the business to the technology. Working with project teams to uncover their potential, build engagement and achieve their milestones.
Kara has over 15 years’ experience within one of New Zealand’s largest Government Departments, leading and driving significant change, including support of one of Australasia’s biggest transformation projects. Her background also includes extensive knowledge of customer service, mental health and wellbeing, and contact centre environments.
Outside of work Kara is a passionate mum to two boys and can often be seen supporting them from the sidelines of sporting games/events and helping them train in between. Along with her husband you will often find the family outside, whether it be tramping through the bush, or at the beach!
